The Planet Eclipse ETHA series has stood for reliable paintball markers and fiery fun on the field since the first ETHA.
Basically, the ETHA3M follows in these footsteps, but I would describe it much more as the high-end version of the popular mechanical EMEK100 entry-level marker - and it's worth every euro more!

I have to admit, initially when the mechanical ETHA3 M was presented, I asked myself "who needs something like that" - especially since the mechanical segment is actually satisfied with the little "EMEK brother".
However, when the Planet Eclipse ETHA3M arrived and I took a closer look at it, this mechanical cannon suddenly made sense. and most importantly wanting more.
The upgrades already provided "out of the box" compared to the classic EMEK totally justify the higher price!
As described above in the facts, this marker already comes with a 14 inch barrel, pop's on/off, Feedneck and trigger made of aluminum and the Quick Release bolt system.
Therefore, the ETHA3M is the perfect marker for the beginner who, with a little foresight, would like to save on further investments, which are usually made with an EMEK - in other words, with the ETHA3 the beginner already has the powerful luxury package in his hands.
But this mechanical ETHA not only offers great potential for beginners and hobby players, no, it also represents an interesting marker for tournament players (at least for me).
Why is that?
When you usually shoot 1500 Euro guns at the weekend?
Explained quite simply:
Classic paintball, woodland and events where you can only play with mechanical markers are enjoying more and more visitors and interest, so to speak "Back to the Roots"
To play with is a corresponding mechanical marker is needed.
Of course, there is now a suitable mechanical grip for almost every high-end marker.
But to be honest, do I really want to spend so much money on a grip (half of the ETHA3M is already inside) in order to screw and tinker around on my actual high-end sword?
Wouldn't it be much fancier just grab my forest and meadow cannon and enjoy pure gaming fun - with a great performance, mind you!
In general, when it comes to "gambling for fun", a great companion!
The thought came to me this year at the Scenario Big Game in the Battleground (by the way, an event you should experience). The SBG is a big game in which approx. 1000 players take part, from beginners to old hands.
It's just for fun, of course firepower is an advantage there too, but strictly speaking I can't think of a game situation where you would have needed more firepower.
Conversely, a lot of paintballs could have been saved, which ended up in the bushes anyway.
Long story short, almost no sense.
Be it your first marker as a beginner or your shooting club for rough stuff, you should have been playing paintball for a while. the ETHA3M will be your reliable companion which will ensure a lot of fun and lots of kills!
