Even the first "standard" Planet Eclipse GTEK was amazing for me, then when the big brother 160 R followed, I thought it couldn't get any better for the ambitious paintballer!
With the GTEK 170R, however, Planet really shoots the bird!

On the whole, the new GTEK 170 R took over the technology and the basis of the predecessor.
As you can easily see, the popular CS2 was then taken as a model, no wonder that in a row of which the GTEK is strongly reminiscent of Planet's large battleship at first glance.
The front handle immediately caught my eye. The 9 volt block, which supplies the cannon with juice, is accommodated in this very ergonomically for best handling.
In keeping with this, the previous "pipe" between the trigger guard and the front grip has also been omitted. This was no longer necessary because the regulator is now also housed in the grip, which is supplied with air directly from the "Pops" airport.
Despite the new content, the grip has remained in the old size and the grip shells are still fixed with two screws each.
Thanks to the previously praised front grip and what is underneath it, however, could be screwed onto the screws of the Eye covers are dispensed with. As with all CS models, these can now be simply released after removing the handle.
When we get there, we realize that the new GTEK no longer has eyes with cables, but uses the fiber optic technology of its big brother.
The slightly curved blade trigger is now installed as a trigger, which was previously available as a retrofit for the predecessor. Instead of enjoying selling hundreds of triggers, this was in response to general customer demand.
The Gamma Core bolt runs smoothly at just 135 PSI working pressure, resulting in a smooth shot, quiet acoustics and little kick from the cannon when firing!
For me, the "standard" GTEK was the best marker for beginners who are serious and long-term with the sport of paintball or really ambitious hobby players.
The GTEK 160 R was then the perfect solution to cover the area of advanced players and tournament players who played paintball, but a high-end marker seemed a bit expensive.
Now with the Planet Eclipse 170R, I don't even know what to say. She is sexy and slim, plays all the pieces like the big markers and leaves nothing to be desired!
With this cannon, the link from the middle segment to the high-end product is guaranteed to be complete, and you can get up close and personal for relatively little money move at the "A class"!
As a reference to what the GTEK is really capable of, I always like to use the test report from our Phipo - if you are not quite convinced of the optics but of the promised performance, then read an honest report here !
