This small handwheel, made in Germany, is used to tension in-line magazines such as the Planet Eclipse CF magazine or the Tiberius T15 magazine before "sharpening".
The quick release is simply plugged in, the magazine is opened with a few turns and the magazine can be easily loaded.
No great witchcraft, the quick release is visibly indestructible and a faithful companion - the biggest risk is probably that you could lose the little "button" quickly.
