The burst discs used with paintball or airsoft air bottles or regulators protect the HP systems from being filled with too much pressure.
The outlet pressure/working pressure is also usually monitored with a small 1.8 burst disc around your marker to protect against an "overdose"
If the limit of the respective bursting disc is overfilled, it releases the pressure and is destroyed as a result.
This guarantees 100% safety in paintball or airsoft, but in order to be able to continue playing, it cannot be a mistake to have a reserve bursting disc ready to hand.
Especially as a team tech or if you have a tech kit for your team, the common 1.8 and 5.0 (4.5) rupture discs should not be missing to prevent nasty surprises!
